- ROOT - NEEDLE - BARK - POLLEN - BERRY - LEAF -
This hand blended ritual tisane (aka a tea) is based around the woods & forests of our lands and to celebrate one of our very first trees on earth, the ancient pine tree.
Pine trees are said to cleanse and help you shed, leaving your past behind.
Taoist priests drank pine needle tea as they believed it help them live longer too, there is evidence now that drinking pine needle tea can really help slow down the aging process!
Pine needles are 5 x higher in Vitamin C than lemons and contain high levels of Vitamin A which is good for eyesight, hair and skin. They are said to improve red blood cell production also.
We combined organic needles with wildcrafted cracked cell pine pollen, which is a super food and amazing adaptogenic for the body. Adaptogens relieve stress hormones by modulating the release from the adrenal glands, they replenish our deeper immunity and regulate our response to stress. So pines pollen is a true vitality rejuvenator!
To round off and balance our woodland healing tisane, we have added antitoxidant rich red rosehips, real cinnamon bark and eucalyptus leafs which are antibacterial and a natural decongestant, the trees are going to smell that much sweeter with your airways cleared.
Our final ingredient from the wood, is the amazing burdock root. This marvelous root is believed to cleanse the blood, help drain lymph’s and is high in Vitamin B6 and magnesium.
More importantly though, it is believed to reduce inflammation, which is known to be the cause of many health problems.
We have told you about the health benefits of this tisane, but vibrationally it’s energy is in the here and now, rooting and buzzing with the life force of the earth and the trees, connecting us with mother earth.
We enhanced the vibration even further on the tisane tin caddy’s by adding a grounding and balancing smokey quartz crystal to each lid.
These tins are intended to be reused however you please, but mostly to be refilled and used as a sustainable tea caddy for more of this tisane.
The wood tisane also comes in our usual pouch form too of course.
This tisane was blended as an offering for you enjoy and use as part of a woodland or full moon ritual, especially if your in need of grounding and connection with your own body.
This tisane is a perfect companion for taking on a forest adventure in true Moomin style, sip under the trees as your bare feet push down into the soil and tap into the the underground mycorrhizae, How amazing is nature!
It is however equally lovely brewed at home to bring a slice of the outdoors in, make a large mug full and inhale deeply before sipping to enjoy the scent of the forest.
We hope you can feel all the love and tree magic I have gathered into this offering and how it’s full of my deepest respect and enjoyment of the woods, especially the ones I grew up in.
I created this tisane while meditating on all the magical time spent in them as a child and how being a part of the woods in Yorkshire completely moulded me into the hedge witch I am today.
Join me in raising a mug to our precious trees and woodlands.

BLACK GARLIC INFUSED FOREST WITCH FIRE TONIC & HOME GROWN WHITE SAGE - LIMITED EDITION -
A fiery health tonic with an extra special ethical home grown white sage with black garlic apple cider vinegar, all lovingly hand crafted and created based on the believed healing properties of elderberry syrup and fire tonic.
Because we cannot make too many claims to any health benefits of this tonic, I would encourage you to look up yourself the massive health benefits of fire cider and why it’s believed to be a traditional and rather fabulous way to keep you and your family in tip top condition during the colder months.
We have gone a step further combining the power of elderberry syrup into this fire cider recipe making it a hugely immune boosting, pro-biotic tonic. Amazing for good gut health too!
I have been brewing fire cider for around 9 years now every winter and sharing it with family and friends, I decided to see if it was possible to also share it with you.
In our 5 star rated tea unit (and with our insurers blessing) we started to craft this deliciously devious tonic for you, allowing it to infuse for one moon-th before decanting into bottles for ease of use.
It’s jammed full of all the best ingredients from our local farm shop, our own witchy garden, our village raw “with mother” apple cider maker and organic honey.
We have two types of this tonic for you, one without honey for the vegans and one with organic honey for a sweeter version.
I use my own adapted recipe and have added some extras in such as blue pea flowers and hibiscus flowers to give it a richer red/purple colour as well as extra upmh!
Once I have boiled washed the bottles I use blessing herbs such as our home grown garden sage to cleanse the bottles.
This fire tonic is a kitchen crafted product and has a homemade witchy feel in keeping with our vibe, bringing a little of our magic making onto your shelves. I craft these in our apothecary with love from my home to yours.
Store your Fire tonic in a cool dark spot like the fridge or a cool cupboard and shake well to wake! It should keep well for 6 months if you look after it but most people take it daily so it won’t last that long!
One last disclaimer, fire cider tonic is spicy and very strong! It’s full of heating roots such as ginger and horseradish with a good sprinkle of jalapeños! Expect your cockles to be well and truly warmed!
If you choose the vegan one, you can add your own sweetener or go hardcore without.
Recommended amount is about a tablespoon a day unless unwell then people usually take more.
If it’s too strong to you, you can add to water, use as a salad dressing or add to stocks and soups. It’s delicious!
This is food medicine at it’s finest and uses the principles and my own learning and practises of the wise woman way, that nourishment is always the best way to approach really balanced health and well being using the bountiful offerings of nature with a grateful heart of thanks.

“I wish I were a girl again, half savage and hardy, and free...Why am I so changed? I'm sure I should be myself were I once among the heather on those hills.” ~ Emily Brontë
Out on the wild, bleak and wuthering Yorkshire moors, ghosts fly in the wind across the bracken and purple rattling heather covered tops.
Nights are long and dark, especially in the deep winter months and every comfort is needed and held close.
Maybe Cathy is scratching at your window, calling to be let in, maybe Heathcliff paces the creaking floorboards keeping you from a peaceful slumber.
Light your candle, bolt the window and pull your blankets high while you sip on this herbal tea blend that’s been created especially to help you fall into a restful slumber that is filled with gentle dreams of the moor in full bloom and the sweet calls of the summer lapwings.
Carefully blended to taste comforting and aromatic, this herbal infusion leans heavily on the herbs and flowers that are known for their sedative and calming properties, all mixed with beautiful and rare hand foraged Uk wild moorland heather. This blend is amazing at rooting out every frayed nerve within the body, with every sip you take.
Nourishing and soothing for the digestive system also bringing solace and peace to a strung out, haunted, over worked body.
Inspired by the moorland I played and grew up on, only a stones throw away from the famous Brontë Haworth moors, but also based on my favourite book of all time, wuthering heights by Emily Brontë.
The song, the story, the moorland, the ghosts and the need for a deep restorative sleep brought this creation into being. A personal offering in honour of some of my happiest memories as a wild feral child, and as an adult, spent on the wild Yorkshire moorland. It’s what I’m made up of, magic, strength, survival, nature and deep unmoving love, it’s where I go to in times of need to restore my soul.
I hope you feel the moorlands strong energy with every cup you make and every teapot you fill.
Try your hardest to not sing “Out on the wiley windy moors, we’d roll and fall in green…” every time you lift this tea pouch out, the struggle is real.
