Archetypes, The Wild Unknown by Kim Krans
Archetypes, The Wild Unknown by Kim Krans
This is a truly beautiful and unique deck of 78 cards by Kim Krans that can help you to unravel your dreams, visions and thoughts.
I am a huge fan of oracle and tarot cards simply because even if you don’t believe in the power of them spiritually, the messages in the cards help anyone and everyone to think about or ponder over problems that need solving or life choices that may need to be made or even to reflect on the good things they have or have achieved.
kim Krans is one of my favourite card artists too, the beautiful brightness of gorgeous water colours she uses mixed with black ink, and in the case of these cards, added paper collage pieces, make for a very visually pleasing experience. The cards can be very obvious in their designs but also have enough going on to dig even deeper into them.
This deck comes in a hard box with a sleeve, inside is a magnetic side opening box, where you’ll find the deck of round cards in a round truffle style box with black ribbon and a deck guide book that has a large clear picture of the card and a whole page description. It also has some lovely info at the start.
Around the page edges for each card, you can find more lovely ideas and affirmations on how to delve into what you’ve discovered from the cards, maybe it will tell you what books to read or crystals to use or maybe what music to listen to.
It’s unusual to have round cards but I actually love how they look when they are spread out, we sometimes like to just look through them before using them, just for the enjoyment.
The best way though for me personally though is to take a cleansing bath, find a quiet space at twilight and light a candle and some incense and think about what I want to ask or get into the right state of mind by closing my eyes and sipping on a herbal tea…then I ask the cards, my inner self and the universe…what do you want me to show me, what do I need to work on, what lessons do I need to learn, then i shuffle and choose. There is plenty of info in the guide book on spreads etc, but you can always find so much more online too.
I hope these cards bring you as much joy and clarity as they do for me.
